Council meetings are held the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 415 Central Avenue. All meetings and work sessions (with the exception limited by law) are open to the public and are cablecasted live on Northwest Cable Channel 16.
Our community is a legally established City under the laws of Minnesota. A Mayor who serves a two-year term and four Council members who serve four-year terms govern Osseo. City elections are held in the fall of all odd numbered years. Council members serve at-large; there are no wards.
The four Council members and Mayor are responsible for approving operating and capital improvement budgets, employing City workers, establishing City policies, regulations and ordinances, maintaining public facilities, and planning the City's future.
