Building Fee Schedule

You can download the partial Fee Schedule here--PLEASE NOTE THAT FEES changed for many permits, effective 1/24/2012.  The City of Osseo contracts with Metro West Inspection Services for all building, mechanical, and plumbing plan review and inspections.  If you have code-related questions, please call Metro West at 763.479.1720.

To obtain a building permit form (also used for plumbing and mechanical applications), please call City Hall at 763.425.2624 to request an application be mailed to you, or, stop by City Hall to pick up the form.  These permit forms are 4-part carbon forms, NOT available online, and cannot be obtained by fax.  

We are happy to process permits via the mail if a self-addressed, postage paid envelope is included.

Electrical Permits

Electrical permits are now issued by the City of Osseo and do NOT go through the State, effective July 18, 2011.   Here is the permit application form for Contractors.  Here is the permit form for Homeowners.  For electrical inspections please call Peter Tokle, M-F, 7-8:30 AM, at 763.754.2983. 

Contractor Licensing

Osseo does not require Contractor Licensing prior to the permit process.

Liquor & Tobacco Licenses

Dog Licenses

Dog licenses are $5/year on or before April 15 each year.  After April 15, the licenses are $10/year.  Licenses can be purchased at the POLICE DEPT during normal business hours.  Please bring proof of rabies vaccination when you apply each year.  Just a reminder: City Code states that no one can harbor more than three dogs over the age of six months in any one residence or place of business in the city.
